This is Barbara Foster pictured with her 11 year old dog Annie, a Jack Russell. She is a graduate of the Pooch Parlor Pet Groomer Academy and is the shop manager for the Oldtown location. She has been grooming for 9 years. She lives in Priest River with her fiancé and her granddaughter Ashland, who is 8. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and loves taking her RV out for a fun camping weekend. Her grooming specialties are Shih Tzu’s and Golden Retrievers. She is also fantastic at decorating the shop for holidays. She is our ‘most experienced groomer’ having been with the shop almost since its inception.

This is Sara Goss, Sara shows and breeds exceptional quality Smooth Fox Terriers. She lives with her husband, 16 year old daughter, and 8 of her terriers on her farm in Oldtown , Idaho. She is a full-time groomer in the Oldtown location. Her grooming specialties are terriers and poodles. She is our ‘most creative groomer’ coming up with the fashion show and dog hair dying ideas.

This is Leslie. She has been grooming for 30+ years. She works fulltime as a horse trainer for a local horseranch and works parttime as a groomer in both locations. She spends her free time showing and judging horses around the nation. She specializes is hand-scissoring any type of dog. Leslie lives in Sagle, with her horse and 2 long-haired doxies, her Gordon Setter and 2 cats.

This is Loretta, otherwise known as Lori. She is pictured here with her cat Zack. She is 23 and LOVES cats. Lori works in the Ponderay location. She is a graduate of the Pooch Parlor Pet Groomer Academy. She graduated from grooming school and has been a full-time groomer at the Pooch Parlor since March of 2007. Lori enjoys the single life and likes to spend time with her friends and family. She has recently become an aunt and loves to babysit her new little niece. Lori owns two cats, a mouse, lots of fish, birds, turtles and frogs. She would own a small dog but isn’t allowed a dog in the home she lives in. Lori works Mon, Wed, Friday and Saturday, and Tuesdays by appointment. Lori’s specialty is grooming non-aggressive cats, and fluffy poodle trims. Lori is our ‘happiest groomer’. She is always smiling and she never worries. She is not speedy, but always turns out great quality work.

This is Shaya Hall. She is pictured here with her 8 month old puppy (white one chihuhua and cocker cross) Malinko, and her 9 year old dog Kharma, a Jack Russell/rat terrier cross. Shaya has recently graduated from the Pooch Parlor Groomer Academy and is now a certified groomer. She works Fridays and Saturdays during the school season and full time during the summer. She is also a junior at the Bonners Ferry High School. Shaya’s grooming specialty is puppies and Shih Tzu’s. Shaya also trains horses in her spare time at her mother’s horse rescue ranch in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She has been an avid horsewoman for 16 years.

This is Samantha McDonald, more commonly known as ‘Red’. She is one of our part-time Sandpoint bathers. She is pictured here with her dog Shiloh, the 2 year old Labrador Retriever. Samantha is 13 (going on 30) and she loves to sing and play guitar in her spare time. Her parents, Sam and Eydee McDonald own Bonner Awards, the neighboring business to Pooch Parlor. She is fantastic with the dogs and with helping us keep the shop clean. Someday in the future she will be a full-time groomer.

Samantha is training her 10 year old sister, Brittany to be a perfect ‘shop cop’. When she sees dirt or hair or towels to wash, she takes care of that for us. She is fondly labeled ‘Blondie’.

Blondie and Red work in the summer and some Saturdays to help us clean and bathe. Their job is to keep the groomers laughing, and they do!!!

This is DuAnn Lustig-Chambers pictured with her 3 year old st. poodle Monty, and her Rottweiler/American Bulldog cross (6 years) Marli. DuAnn is the founder of Pooch Parlor and is the instructor for the Pooch Parlor Groomer Academy. She grooms and teaches Mon, Wed, Friday and the occasional Saturday in the Ponderay location and Thursdays in the Oldtown location. She lives in Priest River, Idaho with her husband (married 15 years), 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her spare time, she enjoys laying tile and remodeling and teaching fitness classes. Her grooming specialties are hard-to-handle dogs and yorkies.
